My Bedroom Beauty Challenge

Hello Dears, now i Know i'm a little late with this post, but i have been a little distracted for the past few days, but nether the less, here it is, my response to Sprinkle of Glitters Bedroom Beauty Challenge.

The theme was LOVE, generally when people think if love they think of pinks, reds purples right?  well, those aren't colours you usually see me rocking, but hey, it's not a challenge unless you are stepping out of your comfort zone.

This is my first little Make-up post so i hope you guys like, i'm planning on doing many more, so if you have any tips for me, leave a comment below :)

Now on with the show!

I have decided to keep it rather simple on the face, just your normal concealer and foundation with a small amount of bronzer contouring the cheek bones and nose.
As i said before pinks are exactly my jam, so i went for cooler toned pink, that when blended together have given off a nice peach tone. Simple eye liner close to the lash line and a good dose of mascara. for my lips i'm wearing a brighter pink to give a slight stain.

When everything falls into place...BLISS

Hello dears! I'm sorry I haven't posted in awhile but things have been hectic, as you will soon read. But i have lots of ideas up my sleeve for new blog post, and I promise to blog a little more often!!

But on with the show! So if any of you have read my "The Adventure" page, you would know that this year, the boy and I have planned a little trip to Whistler, Canada, Well I am beyond excited! It's going to be hugely, awesome and an amazingly wonderful experience. But i haven't always been this excited, for the past two weeks (since we booked our flights) I have felt so apprehensive and stress. So after booking flights, that we luckily got for fairly cheap, we were looking into some accommodation. we are going for a month, so it can be fairly pricey, we were having a look around and found some nice studio apartments that were in our price range, I was looking into the booking/reservation policy... and thats where my freak out started, in Whistler 90% of the hotels or lodges don't allow bookings unless you are 25 or over... bit of an issue as I'm 20 and Alex is 19... So I guess you can see why freak out, here we were flights paid for, our hope as high as Whistler Mountain itself, and no where to stay...

More frantic searching and freaking out occurred for a few days until we found probably the only hotel that doesn't have an age policy, but it was UNBELIEVABLY pricey, about $2000 more then we budgeted for... So a little more freaking out and a little more stress.. then, the world smiled down on us and we found Rachael, the best lodging agent ever! This loverly lady found us accommodation, not only with no age limit, but $1000 under our budget!

When everything falls into place... its just utter bliss!!

SO that is the first little story of everything going my way, now for story #2

The Company I work for was going under a few changes staff wise, they were changing things up a little. Basically they were needed most casuals to come up to full time... or have a lot less hours... or none at all, if you get my drift! I found this out the day after we booked our flights for Whistler, this just added to the stress of it all.
I used to be a full time worker, until I moved state and needed more time off then a full time position gave me. I just couldn't swing moving up to full time for a few reasons, so I panicked that I would soon be out on my poor, broke bum with a bills, commitments and a half paid holiday to pay for. It wasn't until last night at a little work dinner that my manager, approached me and told me there was no need to stress anymore, they are keeping me on! Immediately relief swept across my face and I could have cried haha!

So once again... When everything falls into place... its just utter relieving bliss!! I'm just super please about my last few days and how well everything is going (touch wood)that I just had to blurt it all out! I would love to hear your storied of "when everything falls into place" haha just to keep my faith alive!

A Year of Bliss...

Today was mine and Alex's one year anniversary, yes it was also valentines day! It's so strange to think that a year has gone by already. Thinking back on the first time we met in person, seeing him walk up my drive way and how i started to have a mini panic attack because i hadn't finished doing m hair or makeup. He was so quiet and so nervous, sitting on my couch just talking and being silly.

It was so odd to be so comfortable but so nervous at the same time, i suppose, well for me at least, thats how you know you like someone; you have this strangely high level of comfortability with them, but they still give you butterflies when they look at you, or make you feel a bit weak and sweaty (haha i know bit gross).

That first awkwardly cute kiss, sitting there with my legs resting over his leg, sitting nice and close, i swear my lip tingled when he kissed me.

Now i know this is all kind of sappy and gross and coupley gooeyness, but hey, it is V-Day post.

But i think the weirdest thing is; i still feel this exact same way, i still get nervous when he walks in the room, but i know i can still be a complete idiot in front of him and all i'll get from him is that same smile saying "you're a dork". If he kisses me, looks at me or touches me and my whole body tingles and goes weak.

I have such security in our relationship for these exact reasons, because i know for the last 365 days the only thing in my heart that has changed, is that the tingles and the butterflies just keep getting stronger!

I have truly had a year of bliss!

I am interest to know though, what are your thoughts on the tingles and butterflies? How do you see/feel love for someone!

Finding my way...

So i've moved out of home, away from my family and friends, and well, I'm SCARED and thats putting it mildly, but so far in the process of planning to move and actually moving, i've learnt a few lessons and a few things about myself.

Lesson One - Stress less

This is something i have always struggled with, i'm a huge stress head. but with this situation  i was stressed about money, in particular, paying for flights and moving all of my stuff over to Canberra.
It really took all the fun and excitment out of it, which just sucked. instead of being excited to move, i was just constantly thinking about the money.
I really learnt the meaning of let go and let live. it is so unhealthy to constantly be a stressy person, and i'm not just talking about physically, i'm talking emotionally and mentally. your life experiences will not be as amazing or life changing or memorable if you are just stressing the whole time. So take a chill pill, kick back and relax, don't worry be happy and all those other cliché sayings, you'll thank yourself when your 80 years old.

Side Note: I'm not saying i wasn't excited at all to move, because i was, i mean that everytime i got excited i would also start stressing out.

Lesson Two - Make it count

So like i said, i moved away from my friends and family, to a place i barely know and where i also barley know anyone, now logic dictates that if i'm going to be doing something like that, i should make it worth my time and effort (and the for mentioned stress) and make this count for something. i obviously get an amazing boyfriend out of it and awesome experiences, but i'm not the sort of person to do anything half assed (excuse the french).
I guess what i'm saying is you really need to put your all into every situation, whether its moving out of home or moving your room around, don't half-ass it.

Lesson Three - Take it all in

I'm the sort of person that has always been focused n my future, almost to the point of missing out on the present. All through school and for the few years out i just wanted my future to start, so much that i wasn't making anything if my present.
Through this move and over the course of mine and Alex's relationship i have learnt that theres no better time then the present. I hate the whole "yolo" craze but on one hand its true, you do only get one life to lead, so why try and rush through it to get to the end. Take a step back and learn to appreciate the little things in life, "smell the roses' if you will.

But i guess the most important lesson i've learnt is just to Love it, Just love the journey and the adventure, the ups and downs, because really thats what makes the memories last and worth keeping.

This Love of Mine...

If you were to look up the definition of "Blessed" in the dictionary, you would see a photo of me, smiling immensely. I love describing myself as blessed, there is no truer word for me. Why am i blessed? Because i am loved, appreciated, respected, spoilt, protected, and cared for by one of the most selfless, kind hearted and lovely guys. His name, Alexander.

We met about seventeen months ago, but it wasn't in your usual way face to face, at a bar, through friends or the awkward pick-up at the supermarket. We met through social Media, an Iphone app Called Instagram.
It all started when a friend of mine pointed out his Instagram to me, I started following him and going through his feed, his photos were awesome, I commented on a few photos, and well, the rest is history.

The hardest part of our relationship was the distance, Alex lives in Canberra, where as I lived in Adelaide, 14 hours away from each other, 1,284 km apart. But some how the distance only made us want to work harder at our relationship...

Now this Blog isn't going to be some silly, sappy love story, instead its going to be about Mine and Alex's Present.

So presently;
We are 4 days away from our one year anniversary
I have just moved to Canberra, goodbye horrible long distance, hello comfort and security.
...and there is so much more to come.
